Rod Carley's Coriolanus (1997)

Link to Database

"Coriolanus explores the nature of power, politics and conflict in ancient Rome. Our version this summer moves the action to the events surrounding the life of Wyatt Earp and the infamous shoot-out at the OK Corral in the American Wild West of 1881. All of the great shootists of this time shared a tough pride, even arrogance, and a certain disregard for human life. Coriolanus proves to have no preparation for the political skills necessary to earn public office. Coriolanus, like Wyatt Earp, for all his faults and weaknesses, was an honourable man."
