Shakespeare as a Character |
| Notes |
"The idea for this script came to me while reading about Henslow's Diary, the registry of plays compiled during Shakespeare's time in London. There is a play registered there with the title Love's Labour's Won, attributed to Shakespeare, but no script has ever been found, nor proof that it was ever written. Since the rest of Shakespeare's plays survived intact, I got the idea that something extraordinary had happened to explain its loss.
"That's when I got the idea of Thespis, his friendship with Shakespeare and his hiding the script for all those years to use as a last hurrah" (Fanstone 1). |
