Biography |
"Director/playwright/journalist born in Prince Edward County, Ontario, in 1952. She was theatre critic for the Montreal Gazette and has won the Nathan Cohen Award. She graduated from Carleton University, Ottawa, in 1976. She studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, worked at the Ottawa Journal and received her Masters at the University of Toronto in drama in 1981. Since moving to Montreal in 1980 she has also been a freelance journalist and director of her own company Theatre 1774 which staged her own plays L'Affaire Tartuffe, Woman by a Window, Céleste and Blue Valentine as well as her translations (Miss Julie) and adaptations (Measure for Measure).
