Notes
We have included this film as an anomaly for a number of reasons. According to The McKenzie Brothers (http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Academy/9134/mack2.htm), Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas created the characters Bob and Doug McKenzie in protest against government requirements for "identifiable Canadian content" in Canadian television programming. (But they were not subsequently awarded the Order of Canada for their efforts. Please see "Awards".) These characters were then inserted into an adaptation of Hamlet. Bob and Doug get jobs at Elsinore Brewery, conveniently located next to an insane asylum. The "Hamlet" character is Pam Elsinore, whose father was murdered by her uncle Claude. "Ophelia" is Jean "Rosy" LaRose, an ex-hockey player who is now a patient in the insane asylum.
