| Synopsis:
"Hot Pursuit is an adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. It is written and directed by Erik Mortensen and being produced by The Mainstreet Players. This play takes Shakespeare's classic and twists it, turns it upside down and makes it contemporary. It is still the wonderful story of love and the chase after it; with a healthy dose of magical mix ups, foolish characters and a lot of sexual tones. The script takes the original play's large cast and downsizes it to five characters and sets them in a University in our day and age" (qtd. from e-mail to CASP from Erik Mortensen Nov. 28 2006). |
